Hyack Conference organizers SUE SAYER and DON SWINDELLS are please to report that Hayck Festival Association and the City of New Westminster received high praise from the over fifty international participants at the AGM held January 17-19, 2014. “The start of 2014 has begun with a tremendously successful event under our belts”, notes Swindells.
Businesses benefited from the three day affair. Of course, Inn at the Quay came out a big winner having booked the rooms for our guests and providing them with delectable edibles throughout their stay. But the purpose of Hyack is to ensure that we ‘spread the wealth’ to as many businesses as we can in the Royal City.
“Over the course of the three days, Hyack representatives escorted our international company to many of our popular eateries. These included: Aldos, The Old Spaghetti Factory, Boston Pizza, Wild Rice and the Paddlewheeler at River Market and Stefano’s. HFA is very pleased its event was able to make a positive contribution to these businesses bottom line.” Beams Sayer.
Some of the comments circulating at the event were “Best festival conference ever!” and “Can’t wait to see you all again in May” (Referring of course to the renown International Week which features the International Parade which is comprised of many participants in the conference.)
The next conference is scheduled to take place in WENATCHEE (http://www.appleblossom.org/) 2015 from January 16-18 and will be hosted by the Appalarians.
